Within an hour of Naples and Marco Island are millions of acres of national and state parks, preserves and wildlife refuges. At one, a rare 'super' ghost orchid’s every bloom is recorded by caretakers. At another, endangered Florida panthers wear tracking devices. This corner of Florida is both a destination for ecotourism and a base for exploration of the vast Florida Everglades, according to VISIT Florida®.

Tin City, Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South are the focal points for Naples shopping in the historic downtown area, with numerous art galleries, chic clothing boutiques and home decor shops.

The Naples Botanical Gardens offers a beautiful and relaxing walk trough 170 acres of garden paradise with plants from around the world.

If you have little ones, there's no shortage of fun or the kids and entire family. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) offers interactive hands-on learning experiences; the Naples Zoo gets you up close to nature by feeding a giraffe or take the Primate Expedition Cruise around Lake Victoria to see monkeys and more.
